All-Female fight night at Rosecroft a hit

On August 15, boxing fans were treated to an all -female amateur boxing show at Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, MD.

Sheri Moten of Old School Boxing won Boxer of the Night honors, defeating Raushana Thompson of Fast Lane Boxing Club of Philadelphia, PA in the 142-pound division. Tracey Redd of the Sugar Ray Leonard Center of Palmer Park, MD scored the Knockout of the Night Award. Redd floored Kendall Rice In Motion Boxing Club of Midlothian, VA twice on her way to a second round victory.

In the feature bout of the evening, Jennifer Wolfe, the daughter of eight-time world professional champion Ann Wolfe, won by decision over Upton Boxing's Shardae Powell in a 140-pound division bout. Ann Wolfe was in attendance and worked her daughter's corner.

The next All-Female boxing event will take place on October 10, 2009 at 6pm at Rosecroft Raceway.
