District of Columbia: Quadruplets delivered successfully at Howard University Hospital

Folashade Omoyele, one of the descendants of the king of Lagos, Nigeria, delivered four healthy babies, three boys and one girl, at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 1 at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Kerry Lewis, the delivery physician and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. Mychal Young, chair of the Department of Pediatrics, reported mother and children were resting comfortably.
The boys are Mubarak Abdullah Adwele Olorun-tobi Akanni, Amir Abdul-Azeem Adekunle Olurun-tosin Alabi and Khalifa Abdul-Azeez Adeshola Olurun-toba The girl is Amira-Saliha Adejoke Olurun-toni Adjoke.
Friends and hospital employees have pledged to pay for gifts - diapers, baby formula, strollers, play pens, car seats, wet wipes, etc. -- from a "Hope Tree" to help the family take care of the children.
