Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton said District residents should quickly request replacement TV Converter Box coupons by contacting the U.S. Department of Commerce, which is accepting requests for replacement coupons from eligible households whose coupons expired without them being able to redeem them and others who need them. Coupon applications can be downloaded at www.DTV2009.gov.

Residents may also call 1-888-DTV-2009 (1-888-388-2009), mail an application to P.O. Box 2000, Portland, OR 97208 or fax an application to 1-877-DTV-4ME2 (1-877-388-4632). Deaf or hard of hearing callers may use 1-877-530-2634 (TTY). The date for the digital conversion was re-set from Feb.17 to June 12, and funds were allocated in the American Recovery Act to provide enough coupons for everyone who had been on the waiting list and for most households that are eligible.
