Big Tigger, WPGC-FM and BET Personality and Official DJ of the Washington Wizards, partnered with Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr., High School and Fredrick Douglass High School for "What's Going On: Fashion Meets Compassion."

As the first of its kind, the fashion extravaganza was designed to build awareness of issues facing today's youth.  Students from both Wise and Douglass High Schools presented a sensational, eight-scene fashion show with a purpose.  Student modeling troupes FAMADA and Mode Cri' rocked the catwalk in an effort to raise social awareness of issues such as self-esteem, literacy, peer pressure, and education.

With the tremendous commitment of the students, WPGC FM 95.5 FM and the Street Corner Foundation, the "What's Going On" fashion extravaganza was a phenomenal success.

The Street Corner Foundation, LLC. (SCF) is committed to empowering and strengthening diverse urban communities through proactive, innovative programming. Based in the belief that knowledge is the key to improving issues affecting the community, SCF's focus is two-fold -- to increase public awareness of HIV/AIDS by funding educational initiatives targeting prevention, and to improve quality of life for youth by supporting programs that focus on literacy and self-esteem.
