Fun for entire family at UPS annual car show

UPS (Metro D.C. District) will be sponsoring its annual Car Classic on October 18, 2008 at the Laurel facility on Sweitzer Lane starting at 10 a.m. The eighth annual event is a fundraiser for UPS and The United Way of the National Capital Area drawing more than 800 cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles from as far away as North Carolina.
Registration is 8 to 10 a.m. and the show is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to the car show, live music, kids' games, a Halloween costume contest, vendors and food will be offered. Attendees can also see the final tour of the #44 NASCAR racing car.
Vehicle registration fee is $25 the day of the event, $20 for pre-registration (before October 11). General admission fee is $2 (kids under 12 are free). There will be giveaways of NASCAR and UPS memorabilia.
