In a pivotal game against the New York Liberty Aug. 16 the Mystics lost a nail-biter 72-73. Milton-Jones (3) poured in 21 and Beard (20) finished with 19 in a game that featured 16 lead changes. Beard missed a crucial jumpshot with :01 on the clock that would have given the Mystics the win and potential playoff berth.
