In 1989, Kenneth Westray's best friend shot him in the mouth over a drug turf feud at the age of 24. A year later, he was stabbed seven times in the chest as a result of a drug deal gone wrong.

This article is very hard for me to write, not because it's dealing with a complicated issue - it's more of a physical difficulty in raising my arms.
Wednesday was the Food Expo; the magical day once a semester where food providers vie for Campus Auxiliary Services contracts.

Repairing your credit may save you money. Over the near term, interest rates will rise. The Federal Reserve just increased the rate it charges banks for emergency loans. This was the Feds' first tangible move to tighten credit following the Great Recession.

In case you missed it, spring has sprung.
Or, for a less clichéd observation, warm weather has finally arrived in Geneseo and people across campus are screaming about how much they LOVE IT!
Frisbees seem to have metastasized over the course of a few hours, Birkenstocks have been fished out from the backs of closets and Dave Matthews' vocal chords are belting far and wide.

You may have seen them: those rabblerousing kids shellacked with tattoos and drilled with piercings. In the face of wholesome Marist College, they buck the status quo. As someone who shares her sex-driven articles with the entire Marist campus, I generally possess a very high level of comfort with discussing issues of sexuality, and use various sexual terms accordingly. However, there is one particular term that still gets my goat, one that I always feel silly bringing up: nipple.

With a blizzard one week and temperatures in the upper 50s the next, New York City in March seems very confused. It’s so disappointing to break out the spring wardrobe and cast off your winter coat only to realize it’s a false alarm. Though it may be too soon for flip flops and shorts here, the stores are chock full of airy sunny spring merchandise – and it’s all just in time for spring break.

A cramped room at Japas 38 singing karaoke, bottle service at Pink Elephant, and the cigar room at Del Frisco's -for many people these are not the scenes of a great birthday with close friends in New York City, but rather the locations where people indulge with none other than their coworkers.

This week in the Foodie Report, we tackle the question that all Sternies inevitably ask at some point in their MBA lives: “Where should we go for lunch?” Most full-time students have a window for lunch from 12:00-1:30 each day. Sometimes other obligations necessitate simply grabbing a sandwich from Sosnoff and eating on the go, but if you find yourself at leisure to use the full 1.

If you've heard of the free software movement, you've probably heard of Richard Stallman. In fact, if you were paying attention in the last couple weeks, you saw that Stallman was giving a talk last week.
The talk was described in advance as a talk about "Copyright and Community" in the modern world, although most of the talk was spent introducing the concept of "free" software and attacking Digital Rights Management technologies.
